Remembering a style icon

Today is the 10 year anniversary of JFK Jr's death, along with his wife Carolyn and her sister Lauren. I'll never forget the great sadness I felt upon hearing about the plane crash and dismal fate of these highly regarded and sought after people. The Huffington Post spotlighted the timeless style of JFK Jr's beautiful wife Carolyn Bessette Kennedy in an article today. At the time of their deaths I was in the fashion industry myself and was always very inspired by Carolyn's simplistic yet elegant and classic style. She had a great impact on me then and I'm remembering her today.

She always kept it simple, minimal jewelry, and most of the time clean lines and a lot of black with her signature red lips.

She looked stunning in white.

And didn't hesitate to show off her amazing posture and shoulders.

I actually preferred her casual look, little makeup and undone hair, but with their demanding lifestyle that look was a rarity for her.

Here is a pic of the tents set up (on the Kennedy property in the Cape) for the family wedding they were flying in to attend.

I leave you with these incredible photos of their wedding day in Cumberland Island, Georgia.
Gone, but never forgotten....
