Spending all weekend in lock down with a 5 year old has it's rewards.
We had fun doing projects, I got a lot done around the house AND {most importantly} she's feeling much better!
Finished covering the second 'ugly' chair (original post here), and made this new pillow:
Made a twine wrapped bottle out of an old bourbon bottle that holds special meaning to me. Gave an expired store coupon card the chalkboard paint treatment for the bottle:
We created a spooky Halloween twig display in our dining room.
Made ghosts out of small bouncy balls, white linen fabric scraps and twine {lil one drew on the face with a sharpie}. Spray painted some clothespins black and glued the bats {we colored and cut out} to them. Added some cut out jack o lanterns using paper clips:
BOO!
Lots of re-accessorizing:
And for the grand finale here is the leather bench that I recovered:
Used leftover muslin fabric and simply cut slits to slide over the leather buttons:
I haven't participated in Met Monday in such a long time...I'm off to check out what other bloggers have been working on.

You may have been 'stuck' inside, but look at the productivity! Wow! I'm inspired ....
ReplyDeleteYou were busy and did all that while looking after a 5 year old.

Hi there CC- my husband found the pitcher on ebay for me a few months ago when I started collecting ironstone. The bottom of it says 'Dresden'. I've had it hidden because I don't love the gold and the detail but I'm glad you like it- I'll keep it out and visible for awhile!
ReplyDeleteI didn't even notice the gold.....it has a beautiful shape, doesn't it?
ReplyDeleteYou have the most thoughtful hubby!!!!!
You were busy! :) I love the leather bench cover...very pretty!!
ReplyDeleteWow you two did some very cool stuff. I love your chair, I recently did one almost identical to that one. I also did it in white, in fact it was an old chenille blanket. I love the result of yours! Your footstool looks great, too. Hugs, Cindy S.
