The calm before the storm

Since I'm not hosting turkey day this week, these next few days may hold the last bit of peace for me before the hectic holiday season officially begins.
{breathe more}

I've already been on my weekly voyage to Target and also stocked up on groceries. I don't plan on going to ANY stores at all this weekend.
Not me, nope, no chaotic parking lots or bustling stores are in my near future.
{whine less}

I'm going to hide out at home with my family and relish in the last few days of sanity while we decorate our home for Christmas.

How about you?

Are you a die hard black Friday shopper?

  1. I already completed my 'Black Friday' shopping on Monday. Was able to get super deals on a dishwasher and gas range. Sooooo excited!!! Now we just need our kitchen completed so they can be installed!!
    Husband thinks he will be shopping for a Black Friday TV, we will see if he actually wakes up!

  5. Oh thank you girl, you are so very generous!! I am so happy that you took time to leave me a note.

    I have read your last post, but I am not sure what black Friday is all about. I do know that I shop more before Christmas, way too much. Mostly new ornaments and decorations for my house, but I also love spoiling my family But that is a good thing isn`t it? :)

    Have a restful weekend ahead,
    Warm greeting, Aina

  8. I actually love shopping, but I stay away from it on black Friday! I usually spend that day and the rest of the weekend decorating.
    We started early this year though, we have the tree up already (but not decorated, just lights), and we're dragging things out of the attic but it's all still in boxes.
    I don't have to cook tomorrow, we are going to my sister-in-law's for Thanksgiving, but I am doing a turkey dinner here on Sunday for my kids and the grandkids, so I'd like everything decorated by then!

    Many thanks for your kind comment to me on my other blog, I appreciate that so much, it brought tears to my eyes. Very sweet of you.
    I've been so busy this week (just family stuff going on), so I haven't been able to visit and comment much, but I really do appreciate all the wonderful blogs I get to visit and all the wonderful people I've been Blessed to meet!

    Your blog is so beautiful and your beautiful spirit shines through in every post!
    Have a great day tomorrow! And enjoy your family!
    Happy Thanksgiving!
    All the best to you,
    Eileen

  9. Hello Sweet T~ I'm strolling in to catch up and especially to wish you and your loved ones a Happy Thanksgiving!
    It's such a wonderful time to stop and reflect on all those we cherish and are truly grateful for.
    Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to visit and leave feeling inspired!

    Even though our Thanksgiving is very small in number, with hubby and son (we don't count the cat cause she doesn't like turkey). We don't scrimp on the menu...from appetizers to desserts with several carb loaded dishes in between! We will be enjoying tryptophan playoffs too!

    Sweet Holiday wishes,
    Sara
