Ah...lavender

Will the sun ever grace us with her presence again here in Houston?
It's been a long, cold, dreary week.

I need a pick me up.
Cheery colors~ good smells~ instant energy

I love the smell of lavender oil and I spritz it on my face every day {read about my homemade concoction here}.

Yes~ lavender smells good and looks so pretty when in full bloom, but did you know it has medicinal healing properties? As an aromatherapy treatment it's used to treat depression, pain, nervousness, anxiety, tension and it's one of the only essential oils that's safe to apply directly onto the skin. It even works when applied to burns, rashes, insect bites and acne.

I don't happen to have my little lavender plant or my face spritz handy right now.... so I'll have to use these gorgeous images {with touches of purple} to soothe my busy mind and brighten the gray skies outside of my window today.

  3. Hmmmmmm! I love the smell of lavender, I did a post on the colour. You might love a room spray that I get called Woods of Windsor, it is from England and it is the best lavender I have ever purchased, I also have a link posted on my blog. Loved all of the images very pretty, Kathysue

  5. Hi T, I use to use Pinesol until my son said You know what I remember about living in our old house, (me waiting for a warm fuzzy moment!) He then says , "It always smelled like pinesol." That is when I switched . Pinesol does make a laveder scented cleaner, just bought some yesterday. It is anti-bacterial, Mr Clean is not but I still like it.Thanks for all the nice comments, Love seing you there. Kathysue

  8. I love lavender! One of my favorite things about Provence was riding in the car past fields of it. Sadly, I can't smell, so the aromatherapy doesn't work on me, but it is so pretty! :)
