Appreciation

It's teacher appreciation week at my daughter's school.

I jumped at the chance to do something special for her teacher, she is such an incredible woman!

I volunteered to bring lunch on Monday. We received a list of all of her favorite local restaurants and cafes for lunch ideas, but we wanted to bring something a bit unexpected and more personalized.

A large fabric-lined basket and a personalized wine glass full of berries and grapes. Slices of manchego and leiscester cheese with salame.

Crackers, chicken noodle soup, green tea and coke zero (her favorites), with truffles for dessert.

Small caesar salad, pink floral linen dish towel.
I printed the name of everything, covered in saran wrap, punched a hole and attached using twine.
And a small pink orchid.

Wish me luck carrying this 3 blocks into the school tomorrow morning.

Bon appetit!

Central Market rocks!

  4. How sweet, tasty, and thoughtful!

I teach high school, and we don't get too many of the goodies that our hardworking elementary friends receive this week.

You're wonderful to take so much time to do this...

  7. Mrs. Levitt is one lucky teacher to be receiving a lunch made with so much love! My son's teacher is going on maternity leave in two weeks and we are throwing her a surprise shower....may have to take a page from your beautiful book and package the goodies up like this! Good luck with that walk.....don't want to spill any of the delicious things in the basket! xx P&H

  17. She will be over-JOYed; I am sure, when she receives this gift. Your presentation is so heart -fully thought out. You amaze me. It has your touch all over it. I think this is going to be one of those gifts she will talk about for years. I can imagine you… putting all this together; shopping, packaging, making tags, finding that beautiful napkin, and putting it together in that darling basket. All the while you are thinking of her with generous intentions on making her feel special. Well my friend, you are the bomb!
