I ran the whole thing, but v.e.r.y. sloooowly! (over 2 1/2 hours).
The race was so exhilarating I can't begin to tell you. I was so overcome with emotion and excitement I actually cried sporadically from start to finish. The scenery was more than I imagined with the fog lifting off of the rolling, vine covered, hills of Napa Valley and the cool air.
I felt so good running and managed a smile and a 'yahoo' as I crossed the finish line.

My hubby asked me immediately afterwards if I was ready for a full marathon....
hmmmm, let me think about that....
NO
That's like asking a woman who just gave birth if she's ready for another child!
While I do see more half-marathons in my future, a whole is not at the top of my list.
Here's the gang enjoying wine tasting and some shade after the race. And a bit scared looking T at 5:30am, ready to hit the pavement (butterflies in full action here)!
I have some great pictures from our weekend in Napa so stay tuned...
I've got a sick mother and a broken A/C unit to deal with first~ home sweet home. ;)
