{Proof}...that it's really fall!

I caught you red~handed fall!
You tried to fool me this year but I searched and found you, so take that~ ha!!

I might have had to fly for 4 hours to find you, but when I awoke on Friday morning this is what I saw from outside my wide opened window {yes, wide, wide opened window, something I can't do too often where I live}.

I crept downstairs and out the front door...
...and saw this to my left:

And this to my right. I ventured out onto the lawn to see remnants of summer left behind.
But there's no fooling me any longer. This is my proof that fall has in fact arrived. Perhaps not in Houston, but it's hit the east coast with full force.
I sat at this table and sipped my coffee while gazing out at the Hudson river down below.

A zoomed-in view of the Tappan Zee bridge.
Once I stopped taking pictures in my pj's and socks we headed out for breakfast then a day of shopping.

Friday afternoon we sipped wine outside on Lisa's porch then had a delicious dinner out with her hubby in the town of Nyack, NY.

The weather was absolutely beautiful and I had such fun relaxing and just hanging out with my Lisa. Unfortunately this major sinus infection that I can't seem to shake (well into week #2 at this point), forced me to fly home a day early. I'm happy to report that my head did not explode on either airplane landing as I feared it would. ;)

I'm so relieved that autumn really is a out there somewhere and I got to enjoy it for a mere 48 hours.

  12. Congrats on your win! You have a lovely blog. Our autumn is fading fast and I've missed most of it due to a recent move. Perhaps I'll be able to capture more of it with my cameras next year!
