I'm in total organization and purge mode once again {the curse/benefit of living in a small house with no closet or storage space}.
I'd like to empty our upstairs bedrooms and closets and give 90% of our stuff away.
Then there's spring gardening.
Our yard is a disaster and I'm itching to plant new flowers in all of my pots.
Our 6 year old patio furniture is in major need of replacement so an updated outdoor seating area is on the list this year.
I'm getting antsy to find a settee and finish the sun room already. Of course to find a settee I have to actually get out there and look, ugh. Does anyone happen to know if Marburger/Warrenton/Round Top is open to the public during the preview period this weekend? We had family over on Saturday afternoon and really could have used a quite place to sit and talk while the kids had taken over the family room.
But I'm not feeling energetic or productive at all this week. When I get home at night the only place I want to be is here.
C'est la vie. There are such horrible things going on in the world right now that my ever expanding list of to- do's around the house aren't really that urgent or important in the grand scheme.

♥ Sending lots of LOVE, peace and motivation your way my friends ♥

I think many have been feeling as you are T...just take care of your self the way your body, spirit and heart are telling you and you'll be up and running again in no time.
ReplyDeleteSending tons of love, peace, and motivation your way too!

(love that bubble picture!)
I can't wait to see your dining room! Your table is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteTake Care,
Heather
My guess is you did not use enough bleach...I have been known to pour it on straight from the bottle...but that is for the very brave. :) Try the whitewash watered way down. Good luck to you. The pollen is making us all miserable. Hope you feel better soon.
ReplyDeletehi t,
ReplyDeletei'm on a purging rampage too this week. i think your table will look so good with a gray wash on it btw.

I'm sure your table will turn out beautiful when it's all said and done, T. Love that inspiration photo!
ReplyDeleteThere is so much going on in the world right now... so many sad and scary things...
Thanks for sending us some happy thoughts. Make sure to take some time for yourself to take some of that burden off of your shoulders. :)

p.s. Thank you for your wonderfully encouraging comment today, my friend. ♥
Hi T, You have The In-betweens!!! and a touch of the Spring Fever!!! The combination of the two is not fatal just frustrating at best. In two more weeks you will be totally into Spring Fever I promise and you will be whistling and buzzing arouond the house accomplishing great and wonderful things. Use this down time to plan and when the energy comes back let the Doing Begin.
ReplyDeleteread this I think my diagnosis is correct:

OMGOSH....I feel the same way...I could have not said it better...perhaps it is the world and all that is going on??? I can not really pinpoint it for me and why I feel this way...but thanks, I really needed to hear someone else is feeling this way too!! FYI, the table is going to be perfect when you are done...love your style!!
ReplyDeleteGlad to know that I am not the only one that feels that way. I have so many things I need and want to do but no motivation. Hopefully the sunny days to come will energize us!
ReplyDeleteIt's the in-between blahs for sure. I don't know about this weekend. But, I'll check for you next week at Round Top. Have you gone to The Guild Shop? You might find something there at a good price until you find what you love.
ReplyDeleteYour home looks lovely! ITA about the state of world affairs, it helps when I don't read the newspaper or turn on the t.v.
ReplyDeleteNow if I can avoid driving past gas stations I'll be all set!
Well, maybe the "to-do's" aren't that important in the grand scheme, but oh, I wish they were "done's." Your blog is great; I visit daily. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts and projects. Cheering for you with the dining table, but, alas, have no suggestions.
ReplyDeleteThat's a lovely work! Nice pictures!

Well said, T! Let's all visualize that world! LOVE, peace, and motivation to you, too.
ReplyDeleteI'm in total
ReplyDeletepurge mode, too...
Once spring break
is over, I'm going
to be taking a lot
of trips to GW with
thing we've all outgrown,
including household
items. You just have
to do that once in
a while. Be kind to
yourself, T. There is
a lot going on in the
world, but you should
stay focused on the good,
which you seem to have
in spades.
Hugs,
xx Suzanne
I totally agree with you - soo much on everybody's mind at the moment.
ReplyDeleteYour table will be great - just have a go whitewashing.
Lovely post today - particularly fond of the purple table in the 'sun room ' magnificent.

Take the time to sit back and enjoy the spring ~ friday's favorites!
ReplyDeleteyou said what i feel... overwhelmed.... i have not been able to keep up with anything... esp my sweet blog friends... it makes me so sad... one day at a time...
ReplyDeletexoxo
Feeling that way too right now. Must be the time of year. Hope you get everything done, but remember to take time just for you.
ReplyDeleteNess xx
Yes, I feel it too, but I've been chalking it up as a season of stillness. I have done zero spring cleaning, no nesting (weird for me), no hanging of curtains or bathroom mirrors (mirrorless since October). And yes, the chandeliers are still on my floor. :) But as I embrace the stillness and just enjoy the moment, I'm ok with my lack of "productivity." The desire "to do" will come in its right time.
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday!

P.S. Love the bubble picture!
I feel EXACTLY the same way! sigh.....we have a garage sale in a few weeks and I'm dragging my feet as to what I need to clean out, in here.
ReplyDeleteThat bed looks so cozy....have fun at Round Top - can't wait to hear about it. (so jealous!)
