A set of bleached antlers and an herb crate (thanks to Linsey for the source on this!).
A small cowhide, a crown, a burlap bunny (the only Easter decoration I put out this year- eek!), an old beer bottle from Bruges, an olive basket (these were everywhere) and last but not least, my large caged Santos doll.

I had such fun finding homes for all of these new things. I cleared all of my accessories and set them on my dining room table so I could have a clean slate and re-work everything. You know my house is teeny so I always have to remind myself to put something in storage (or throw it away) whenever I put out a new treasure.
The cowhide sits under my Swedish wine tasting table (from Round Top last fall, here) and an antique wooden bowl from Amsterdam sit on the table, under the cloche. See my sweet little Max snoozing on the cowhide. He's not feeling well right now, poor little guy.
A quick glimpse at my growing bread/wooden board collection. I picked up the larger square board in Bruges, the smallest came from Seattle, the pig board came from Williams Sonoma (here) and I found the textured, mango wood board during my first trip to Round Top, here.
OK, where were we? Oh yes, a quick tour of the new stuff scattered around my house. The bunny.
A re~worked hall tree.
The crown and the olive basket.
The herb crate in the kitchen.
The antlers and the Santos doll are co~existing quite well in the dining room for the time being. You can see she's sporting my rosary beads from Bruges (explained all about it here). I just love her but my family thinks I'm a bit nutty. You can read more about the history of Santos dolls here.
The big daddy wine fridge is so ugly in here but there's just no hiding it. My dining room table is currently hidden beneath layers of poster boards and diorama materials for my little one's school project due this week.
That's it for the updates in my casa, but as you all know so well nothing will stay in place for too long.
Hope you're having a great week out there and have a Hip~Hoppy Easter Sunday! ☺
xo~
Tricia

Looks like you got some really cool finds! I love that old Bruges beer bottle. Where did you end up putting it?
ReplyDeleteLove the Santos and the bunny. If I came home with those antlers my husband would flip or should I say he would think I had flipped. I know they are al the in right now and they look really good with your arrangement.
ReplyDeleteHi Emily- Sorry, I guess I missed taking a photo of the beer bottle placement. It's on one of my end tables next to the couch, next to a green seltzer bottle. ;)
ReplyDeleteDebby- My husband did actually flip a little when he saw the antlers and the cowhide. He's not a big fan of real animal remnants scattered about our home- ha! :) If only he'd seen the first set of antlers I looked at, unbleached and with some hair still attached, YUCK!!
ReplyDeleteLove all your new finds! I wish I could get to Round Top sometime. It seems they have the BEST stuff! I have some antlers like yours and love them. Mine are in my glass book cabinet in the family room. Love that Santos doll. I would like to have one of those some day. It looks great wearing your rosary beads! I'd love to have one of those olive buckets too. They sell them here (at antique stores) but they're pricey. Can I just borrow yours? Ha! Glad you had a good time. Thanks for sharing your great finds!
ReplyDeleteomgosh I love it all especially the doll!!

ReplyDeleteLovely decor!!!!! I think the gentle colouring and hues work brilliantly together!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
We went to Warrenton this year and I only bought one thing. I LOVE it, but the husband thinks I'm crazier than a $3 bill! I cam thisclose to getting a couple olive baskets. BTW, I can get you lots of free antlers and old bottles, courtesy of the Property-ha!
