The Hermes handbag~behind the scenes

Happy 175 Birthday Hermes!

Are you an Hermes fanatic? If so then you already know that these iconic bags are made by hand. Apparently it can take a worker up to 48 hours to hand stitch one Birkin bag. In honor of the 175th anniversary, Hermes is running a Leather Forever exhibition in London {Royal Academy of Arts' sister space} beginning next week.  They will have artisans on hand creating these famous and highly sought after leather bags.

Check out these never before seen, behind the scenes images from the workshop in Pantin, France, just on the outskirts of Paris.
You can read the full scoop here and here.

Pure, decadent deliciousness.
