Howdy everyone~ checking in with a random post this morning, sharing a few shots from our somewhat relaxing holiday weekend.

We participated in Empty Bowls Houston again this year.
The kids got to assist with the pottery making. The bowls we purchased at this event will help feed the hungry here in Houston. It's put on by Whole Foods and the Houston Food Bank and is always such a fun and unique way to give back to our community.
Some goodies from LLH's shop my house sale. I have yet to figure out where to hang these plaster faces so on my dining room table they rest.
A pinterest discovery~ sprouting your own celery by letting the end of a celery bunch sit in water in a sunlit window.  This little growth from the middle is after only one week!

A new picture for my office from my sweet little ♥ bug.
My birthday gift from the family this year~ the python Sally bag from Presmer. It was a Presmer bday for me as I received a few other gorgeous pieces from my girlfriend.  ☺  I had the pleasure of a dinner date with Annsley last week and she is just a doll and a savvy business lady with an amazing eye for style. And her house, wowza, you can see pics of it here
Tomorrow is our last day of school and I can't wait. The morning hustle and bustle has grown very old and I'm ready for a break and I know my daughter is as well. A 14 hour flight to a far away land sounds so perfect right now, I'm lifeless and fried!

Such an upbeat final note huh?  Sorry, hee hee. ☺
I'm looking forward to reading about everyone's summer adventures out there. Ciao for now.

xoxo~

  2. Making pottery is so much fun...it has been years since I've done it. What a great program!

I have to try the celery thing, it looks awesome.

It has been such a warm spring here, it seems like the kids are already out of school here! I remember the daily grind of uniforms clean and pressed and making lunches. I guess I miss it, too! ;-D

    Have a wonderful day!

    XO,

  7. Sweet friend, I miss you already! Weird how being so far away feels different. Just left Houston today (with tears in my eyes!). I hope blogging will keep us close...though our daily lives will be so very different. Have fun in Tokyo! xoxo!!!
