I finally sat down to begin sorting through my 400 plus photos from our trip to Japan. While I try to figure out how to break them up into blog posts I thought I'd share a few random photos of Tokyo.
This is one of those trips where looking back at the photos makes me a bit sad that it's all over. This was one of our best, most memorable trips ever! We were a bit apprehensive to begin with (the language, the food, the weather, the cost, etc), but everything was smooth sailing and the Japanese people are absolutely lovely, almost zen-like in the way they carry themselves and interact with others.

How can a trip that begins like this get any better? My little one up in the cockpit, flying the 777 from Seattle to Narita! ☺ She was so excited to be invited into the cockpit and allowed to move the seat back and forth and touch all of the controls.
The public restroom signs around Tokyo.
We walked over the Rainbow Bridge from Tokyo to Odaiba Island. What an incredible sight to see Tokyo at all angles from the tip top of the steep bridge.

Japanese beer~yum.

Sensoji temple in Asakusa.
I'll get it together over the next week and share our journey with you from start to finish. We've been home exactly one week and our body clocks are still way out of whack, eek!

Hello Tricia you don't know me but I work with your husband. He shared your blog with me today and I am in awe!!!! Your pics are fabulous and now I can't wait to make that trip. My apprehension has been the language and food but I can tell now that it won't be an issue. Thank you. Alicia Taylor

Okay...this question is a little strange...but how do you guys pack for these trips? Do you pack light and wear the same things over and over?
ReplyDeleteJapan needs to be on our list of places to visit!
