Oldies but goodies

Let's start the work week off with some eye candy of the 'home interiors' kind.

A Brooklyn town home full of antiques, thrifted items and lots of DIY.  The British couple who live here created this warm and chic home for their family themselves.

Would you believe that they found these chairs at the Brimfield Antique show for $50 total for the pair?! She painted them and added the shoe polish treatment then covered in muslin fabric and simply stapled.

Let's head downstairs to check out the lower level.

Apparently this is the basement level and since it has few windows and gets minimal natural light they decided to paint the walls in chalkboard paint and just go with the dark and dramatic look.
